Durango High School students were welcomed Wednesday morning with reminders about prom, student opportunities, and activities happening across campus.

Students planning to attend prom are reminded that Out-of-School Guest and Underclassmen Forms are available in the commons. All sections must be completed and turned into the front office no later than April 3. Late submissions will not be accepted, and completing the form does not guarantee a ticket.

Students interested in military careers have an opportunity today from 11:00–11:45 a.m. in the Counseling Office to meet with a U.S. Air Force representative and learn more about available paths and programs.

Leadership opportunities are still open through Student Council appointed positions, with applications available outside the front office. Students are encouraged to apply and get involved. Applications must be submitted to Olivia Cuellar or Michelle Flom in Room W2118 by Friday, March 27 at 4 p.m.

In club and activity news, Knowledge Bowl will meet today during enrichment in Mrs. Skarbek’s room 2025. The Green Team will also meet during lunch in Mr. Wilson’s room (W2106), where students can learn more about sustainability efforts and hear from a guest speaker.

Athletics are in action today as the girls JV and varsity soccer teams take on Delta, with JV playing at 3:00 p.m. and varsity at 5:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to come out and support the Demons.
