Durango High School wraps up the week with reminders about college visits, prom tickets, and student activities.
Students interested in college opportunities can meet with an Admissions Representative from Northern Arizona University today from 2:00–2:45 p.m. in the library to learn more about programs and campus life.
Prom season continues, with tickets currently on sale for seniors at the student store during lunch and after school. Juniors will be able to purchase tickets starting April 13, and guest ticket sales will open on April 20.
Students involved in club sports or activities outside of school are reminded to complete prearranged absence forms prior to missing school in order to receive full credit for missed work. Forms are available in the Counseling Office.
In club news, Knowledge Bowl meets today during lunch in Mrs. Skarbek’s room 2025 for trivia practice. French Club will also meet today in Madame B’s room (W2108), where students will continue working on their ceiling tile project and can receive tutoring from NHS members. Students interested in outdoor activities can attend the DHS Fishing Club meeting in Mr. Coddington’s office (W1237).
Chess players are invited to Mr. Kopack’s room 2010 during lunch for a game or two, with all skill levels welcome. Students should also note that Pickleball Club will not meet today due to a JV tennis match, and will resume next week.
