Durango High School students were welcomed Tuesday morning with the message, “It’s a great day to be a Demon!” along with several important reminders and opportunities happening on campus.
Students planning to attend prom are reminded that Out-of-School Guest and Underclassmen Forms are now available in the commons. Be sure to carefully read and complete all sections before turning them into the front office no later than April 3. Late forms will not be accepted, and completing the form does not guarantee a prom ticket.
Students interested in continuing their education can meet with an Admissions Representative from San Juan College today from 1:00–1:45 p.m. in the Counseling Office to ask questions and learn more about available programs. Additionally, a U.S. Air Force representative will be on campus tomorrow, March 25, from 11:00–11:45 a.m. for students interested in military career opportunities.
In club news, National Art Honor Society members are reminded of a mandatory meeting today. Members should be sure to attend.
Student leadership opportunities are still available, as Student Council appointed position applications remain outside the front office. Students interested in getting involved and making an impact are encouraged to apply. Applications must be turned in to Olivia Cuellar or Michelle Flom in Room W2118 by Friday, March 27 at 4 p.m.
Students are encouraged to stay organized, meet deadlines, and take advantage of the many opportunities available at DHS.
