Durango High School wrapped up the week with several reminders about upcoming opportunities and club activities for students.
Students interested in exploring their options after high school have two upcoming opportunities to meet with representatives. An admissions representative from San Juan College will be visiting the Counseling Office on Tuesday, March 24, from 1:00–1:45 p.m. to answer questions about programs, admissions, and campus life. Students curious about military careers can also meet with a U.S. Air Force representative on Wednesday, March 25, from 11:00–11:45 a.m. in the Counseling Office.
Leadership opportunities are also available through Student Council appointed positions, with applications currently available outside the front office. These roles give students a chance to get involved and make a positive impact within the school community. Completed applications must be turned in to Olivia Cuellar or Michelle Flom in Room W2118 by March 27 at 4:00 p.m.
In club news, Knowledge Bowl will meet today during lunch in Mrs. Skarbek’s room 2025, where students can stop by to test their trivia knowledge. Chess players are also invited to Mr. Kopack’s room 2010 during lunch on Fridays to play a game or two. Players of all skill levels are welcome to join.
Students are encouraged to stay involved and take advantage of the many activities happening around campus.
