Durango High School students started their Tuesday with the message, “It’s a great day to be a Demon!” as several opportunities and activities were announced for the week!
Sophomores and juniors interested in leadership are invited to attend a Link Leader interest meeting today during lunch in the auditorium. The meeting will give students a chance to learn more about the program and how they can help welcome and support incoming freshmen during the 2026–27 school year.
Students who are thinking about their future after high school also have upcoming opportunities to meet with college and military representatives. An Admissions Representative from San Juan College will be visiting the Counseling Office on Tuesday, March 24, from 1:00–1:45 p.m. Students interested in learning more about programs, admissions, or campus life are encouraged to stop by. In addition, a representative from the U.S. Air Force will visit the Counseling Office on Wednesday, March 25, from 11:00–11:45 a.m. to answer questions about careers and opportunities.
In club news, Student Council appointed position applications are now available outside the front office. These positions provide students with a chance to get involved and help make an impact within the school community. Applications must be submitted to Olivia Cuellar or Michelle Flom in Room W2118 by March 27 at 4 p.m.
Students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities and stay involved around campus.
