Durango High School wrapped up the week on Friday with several opportunities for students to explore their future and get involved on campus.
Students interested in college and career pathways have multiple upcoming visits in the Counseling Office. An Admissions Representative from San Juan College will be on campus Monday, March 30, from 9:00–9:45 a.m. Students can also meet with a U.S. Army representative on Wednesday, April 1, from 1:00–1:45 p.m., and a representative from Metropolitan State University of Denver on Thursday, April 2, from 1:00–1:45 p.m.
In club news, several activities are happening today during lunch. Knowledge Bowl meets in Mrs. Skarbek’s room 2025 for trivia practice. Chess players can head to Mr. Kopack’s room 2010 for a game or two, with all skill levels welcome. Students interested in the outdoors can also attend the DHS Fishing Club meeting in Mr. Coddington’s office (W1237).
Today’s Demons of the Day are Jace Alexander and Aiden Medina, recognized for their supportive and caring actions. Nominated by Mrs. Hayden, the two students stayed after class to help reset the classroom by organizing desks and supplies. Their willingness to help reflects the positive spirit of the Demon Way.
Students are encouraged to finish the week strong and continue showing pride in their school community.
