Durango High School students were welcomed Thursday with updates on upcoming opportunities, important reminders, and club meetings around campus.
Students interested in continuing their education can meet with an Admissions Representative from San Juan College on Monday, March 30, from 9:00–9:45 a.m. in the Counseling Office. This is a great chance to ask questions about programs, admissions, and campus life.
Prom season is approaching, and students are reminded that Out-of-School Guest and Underclassmen Forms are available in the commons. Be sure to carefully complete all sections and turn them into the front office no later than April 3. Late forms will not be accepted, and submission does not guarantee a ticket.
In club news, DHS’s writing club, the Purgatory Pen Project, meets today during lunch in Room 2014. Students interested in writing are encouraged to attend and collaborate with others who share a passion for storytelling.
Leadership opportunities are still open through Student Council appointed positions, with applications available outside the front office. Students looking to get involved and make an impact should apply soon. All applications must be turned in to Olivia Cuellar or Michelle Flom in Room W2118 by Friday, March 27 at 4 p.m.
Students are encouraged to stay involved, meet deadlines, and take advantage of the many opportunities available at DHS.
