Students at Fort Lewis College have a busy week ahead as several campus events take
place from March 9–11, 2026. From career preparation to social gatherings and student
support services, these activities give students many ways to get involved and connect with
others on campus.
The week begins Monday morning with Career Services Headshot Photos, taking place
from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Reed Library 139, also known as the Dev Space. The event offers
free professional headshot photography for students and staff. Professional photos are
often used for resumes, internship applications, and LinkedIn profiles, making this a helpful
opportunity for students preparing for jobs or internships. Later Monday evening, students
can attend the Hootenanny Hoedown Shindig from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Student Union
Ballroom area. Hosted by Camp and Crofton residence hall staff, the event will feature
dancing, food, and a lively hoedown theme. The event is designed to bring students
together for a fun evening and encourage connections within the residence hall
community.
On Tuesday, March 10, the First Gen. Club Meeting will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. in the
Cascade Room of the Student Union. The club provides a space for first-generation college
students to connect with peers who share similar experiences navigating college life and to
learn about helpful campus resources. From 2 to 4 p.m., the Bilingual Sexual Assault
Services Organization (SASO) will offer support hours for students who may need
assistance or resources related to sexual violence. Support is available in both English and
Spanish, helping ensure that more students can access these services.
Tuesday evening brings a more festive event with Casino Night from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the
San Juan Dining area of the Student Union. Students are encouraged to dress up and enjoy
themed activities including a mocktail station, glam photo opportunities, and a trivia
competition. Another event taking place Tuesday evening is the NUTs & ISC Trivia Night
from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Jones Hall 140. The event invites students to work together in
teams and test their knowledge in a friendly trivia competition.
On Wednesday, March 11, students will have another chance to attend Career Services
Headshot Photos, available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Reed Library 139. Students who were
unable to attend Monday’s session can schedule an appointment through the Career
Services website. Also on Wednesday, SAGA Tabling will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in
the Student Union tabling space. The student organization will share information about an
upcoming Queer Prom and provide resources for students seeking community or support.
Together, these events highlight the variety of opportunities available on campus, from
career preparation to social events and student support. For many students, activities like
these are an important part of staying connected and making the most of their college
experience at Fort Lewis College.
