Want to get the experience and knowledge of strength training with proper form? Co-ed Strength 1 might be the class for you. Led by Gans, strength training is a class where anyone can join to learn proper form, techniques, growth, and overall just to lift and get stronger while in school. The main focus is to build strength, power, speed, and agility while learning about injury prevention.

Freshmen, Riley Magee, Lincoln Graff, and William Reynolds are in Gans’ first period. They chose this class to build muscle, get exercise, and start the morning strong. Magee’s favorite part is doing pullups, Graff enjoys push ups, and Reynolds likes doing dead lifts, all while getting stronger and learning proper form. “This class is a pretty easy grade but it allows you to challenge yourself.” says Magee. Students are expected to come with a positive mindset, put in hard work and leave stronger, more confident, and a better understanding of the weight room.
This class is activity based, students start with planned workouts, then move into endurance and strength focused phases. Each workout has a special take away leaving students more fit and well rounded. “This class is unique because it’s all hands on, there’s no computers or sitting, you put in the work for yourself and no one else.” says Gans.
Co-ed strength training is a great class for anyone who wants to get stronger, get more familiar in the weight room, or just want to get moving. Magee, Graft, and Reynolds all recommend this class to anyone and would take it again if given the chance.
