After a tough weekend, the DHS girls basketball team is back on the court tomorrow night with one goal in mind.
Head Coach Lauren Moran says the focus from the opening tip is patience and playing smart.
Coach Moran is expecting a noticeable shift in energy after last weekend’s losses.
“I’m hoping we come out with a lot of positive energy and high intensity,” she said. “Those losses were disappointing, and I know the players are eager to get back out there.”

Junior Jaelyn Alston knows that starting strong will be key.
“A big part of our success is starting off strong and playing our game all four quarters,” Alston said. “We have to stay disciplined on both offense and defense, and we definitely can’t overlook them.”
“I’m really focused on running our offense, getting our post players involved, and taking high-percentage shots,” she said.
Senior Aysia Matthews is bringing leadership, energy, and purpose onto the court.
“My mindset stepping on the court is remembering to glorify God in everything that I do,” Matthews said. “The keys to our success are energy and teamwork.”
Tip-off is tomorrow at 5:30 PM.
Don’t forget check out tomorrow’s games.
