The new show “Wednesday” shown in a DHS student’s home, on February 16, 2023.

The new show “Wednesday” is a coming-of-age supernatural comedy horror original series now streaming on Netflix. Starring the young actress Jenna Ortega and featuring Christina Ricci who played the character Wednesday in the original Addams Family movies in the early 1990s and now plays Ms. Thornhill. Tim Burton and various others helped create this mysterious story. Burton is known for his thrilling movies like Edward Scissorhands and Corpse Bride.

This show features Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams moving from school after school causing nothing but mayhem until her family sends her to Nevermore, a school for outcasts where her parents believe she will continue on the Addams family legacy. A week into school, she begins to notice unusual things involving her personally such as mysterious drawings, and visions leave out things that could possibly destroy Nevermore itself, and lastly, a monster following her causing murders wherever she tries to solve anything more. With new friends and past relatives at her side, they all work together to save their school and everyone in it.

Once I started this show I couldn’t stop watching or thinking about it. I watched all eight episodes in a day. I loved how there are different mysteries that seem like they don’t fit together but then in the end they all relate to each other. This show is definitely a good watch that i would recommend if you are interested in mystery and gore.
