Durango High School students dance and sing at their 2025 prom on April 12 in the Fort Lewis Ballroom. The upperclassmen gathered together with their friends and dressed up in formal suits and dresses for the dance. “It’s just fun to dress up. You don’t get to dress up for school everyday,” Lindsey Parsons, a DHS student, said. Another student, Silvie Bosmans, told us that it was a lot of fun to be able to get ready and be with friends. The room was electric with the music and changing lights. Ivy Stork, a high schooler who attended prom, says that the most exciting part was having fun and dancing with friends. The high schoolers were always singing along with the music and when Y.M.C.A came on, the entire ballroom raised their arms.
