On January 28, 2025, chalk was used to write statements in favor of the protest for trans and black lives matter flags in DHS, just outside school property. This was the same night as the board meeting where board members were deciding whether or not to keep these flags inside school classrooms. The statements also connected with Trump’s new DEI (Diversity, equity, inclusion) order, ending the three-year diversity, equity and inclusion goals, stopping all external diversity-focused surveys, and evolving "Supplier Diversity" team to "Supplier Engagement."
