Demon Discussions: Homecoming Week Recap Special!

🔥 Hey Demons! Millie and Kara are back and bringing the hype for this special Homecoming Week recap edition of Demon Discussions!

🎥✨ From start to finish, last week was one for the books — full of school spirit, community pride, and unforgettable memories. ❤️🖤

🏁 Monday kicked things off with Rev Your Engines PJ Day — maximum comfort, maximum style — and, of course, the Homecoming Parade! Huge shoutout to Student Council for organizing an incredible event. Clubs, teams, and community members came together to show off their creativity and Demon pride, from decked-out floats to the famous Green Team car.

👯‍♀️ Tuesday doubled the fun with Pit Crew Partners (Twin Day)! The Three-Legged Race at lunch had everyone laughing, and Movie Night brought the perfect chill vibes to balance out the high-energy start of the week.

🎒 Wednesday was New Wheels Wednesday (Anything But a Backpack Day), and you all delivered — with laundry baskets, coolers, and even a traffic cone or two! DHS creativity was on full display. Then came Trivia with Knowledge Bowl and the legendary Machoman Volleyball Game, where the competition (and comedy) was top-tier!

🎨 Thursday’s Color Wars painted the halls with class pride and energy. The Pep Assembly had the whole school fired up, and later that night, the Powderpuff Football Game had everyone cheering as the girls battled it out under the lights.

🏈 🏎️ Friday wrapped up the week with Fast & Furious Friday and a sea of Red Sea gear! The Tailgate Party before the big Homecoming Game was packed with food, music, and Demon energy — Texas Tacos and tunes? You can’t beat that. Then, our Demons hit the field for the Homecoming Football Game against Air Force Academy in front of the loudest, proudest crowd yet!

💃 Saturday night’s Homecoming Dance capped off the week perfectly — the lights, the music, the laughter, and the memories that’ll last a lifetime. And if that wasn’t enough excitement!

🥎 Our Girls Varsity Softball Team clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2011! Huge congrats to them for grinding through the season and celebrating big at the dance.

🚴‍♀️ The DHS Mountain Bike Team has 30 athletes qualified for the State Championship Race on October 18th! They’ve dominated the season, winning all four races by nearly 100 points. Plus, two female riders are favorites to win state titles in Varsity and JV! To top it off — good luck to Cross Country at regions tomorrow, and don’t miss Football Senior Night this Friday vs. Liberty at 6 PM!
