As we transition into fall, Durango is receiving some much needed moisture, with rain, along with thunder and lightning, happening many afternoons this week. According to the National Weather Service, on Friday, September 12, and Saturday, September 13, Durango is on a flash flood warning due to heavy rain and severe thunderstorms that are going to be occurring throughout the area.
Sunny skies dotted with a few clouds were seen on the morning of Thursday, September 11, 2025, before thunderstorms rolled in later in the day.
