The familiar Hermosa Cafe, located in downtown Durango, invites the creative freedom of art and self-expression. The location itself is very welcoming, showing large painted portraits of well-known celebrities and handcrafted paintings all over the walls, creating a welcoming space for all. 

Hermosa was created by Lindsey Biaggi and Lucia Thompson in 2019. After the coffee shop, Durango Roasters got a rebrand to “Freshen things up.”. The interior of the cafe has certainly gotten an update and a new look. 

A way that Hermosa expresses its interest in creative importance is by including art everywhere surrounding the location. Multiple murals outdoors for every holiday, and sidewalk chalk for everybody to draw with, inviting people of all ages to light up the ground with color and doodles. The company owner’s goal with Hermosa Cafe is to create community, finding connections throughout Durango and its locals that embody a creative and healthy lifestyle.

Tons of visitors have had amazing experiences with the staff and menu items, calling the staff friendly or inviting, and saying they work very hard and care for their job and the customer. Also, a common review was that it is an amazing place to sit down and talk/connect with friends and family.

The inclusion within Hermosa Cafe makes a safe and comfortable space for people and students to work, study, and just embrace happiness. The international and diverse environment throughout the menu and staff adds to the comfort and strength of the business.
