Durango High School’s girls soccer team will be kicking off their preseason soon at the DHS fields, where athletes gather together to sharpen their skills, build the team chemistry, and prepare for the upcoming season with their determination and energy.
For many players, the season is more than just soccer- it’s also about the friendships they are going to make this season. Team bonding plays a key role in building trust and team chemistry. Athletics often look forward to experiences that bring them closer together. “Im so excited for all the fun bus rides and staying in hotels with my friend,” DHS freshman Kylie Wiliams said.
This matters because high school sports bring students together, creating school pride while teaching teamwork and dedication. Strong bonds off the field often transfer to success. Looking ahead, the DHS girls soccer team is focused on turning their preseason work into a stone season with friendships both on and off the field. Freshman Mira McMillian had this to say about the team connection and chemistry, “The team chemistry is good because, we have all been playing together for a while.”
