DHS Girls Lacrosse team had a 4-2 record this season and is 1st in the 4A Mountain West League. Durango had wins over Montrose, Grand Junction, and Telluride. Close games with Telluride and Grand Junction. The Demons are set to play Fruita on April 11th and April 12th. Fruita Monument has a 2-3 record this season.
Sophomore, Indie Eaton, talks about how lacrosse is so much more than just a game to her and it can bring communities together.

Demons’ top scorer this year is Silvie Bosmans who is a senior. Bosmans is averaging 2.7 goals per game, followed by senior Sofia Naffziger who is averaging 2.5 goals per game. Sophomore Indie Eaton had a shot percentage of 0.583, followed by senior, Willa Anderson, with 0.571 percent.
The Demons’ goalie Fiona Chandler had 4 saves in the first game and a save percentage of 0.308, in the second game Chandler had 6 saves and a save percentage of 0.500.
Durango Demons beat Fruita with the final scores of 10-9 on April 11th and 8-6 on April 12th.
Indie Eaton, Teagan Frausto, Taylor Babcock, Jordan Meininger, and Silvie Bosmans scored goals on April 11. On Saturday, April 12th, Eaton, Frausto, Babcock, and Bosmans scored two goals each.
The Demons have improved their record to 6-2 after these past games and are set to face the Evergreen Cougars in Evergreen, Colorado on Friday the 18th.
