El Diablo News is somewhat of an unknown entity within Durango High School. The student newspaper currently has a staff of fourteenstudents and is advised by digital media and graphic design teacher, Morgan Kraska. The staff focuses on telling the voices of DHS students through engaging articles, multimedia, and photos. These journalists work hard to be a voice for all students through interviews and a wide variety of topics. The staff tries to update content on the website every two weeks, and the site is a hub for all things DHS. Check out our other stories after reading about our talented staff!
Olivia Glover
Sophomore Olivia runs cross country and track. Additionally, she is secretary of the DHS Green Team and a member of WILD, Women in STEM, and Knowledge Bowl. Her favorite class is AP Bio and she loves to hang out with her dog and madagascar hissing cockroaches.
Garrett Scott
Sophomore Garrett enjoys history class and his favorite season is fall. He has one dog and likes to play basketball in his free time.
Mav Balthazor
Freshman Mav plays e-sports and D&D, and his favorite season is fall. Mav enjoys health class and has two cats and a dog. In addition, Mav can also fix most electronics.
Raina Dixon
Freshman Raina enjoys math class, is a competitive swimmer and is a part of the Aerospace Design club. Her favorite season is winter and she has two dogs and one cat
Rachel McKelvey
Freshman Rachel plays basketball and enjoys hanging out with her cats and dogs. Her favorite class is math and her favorite season is fall.
Teagan Sarver
Freshman Teagan swims and participates in the DHS Knowledge Bowl Team. She has two dogs, loves the Spring, and her favorite class is AP Human Geography.
Miles Jordan
Freshman Miles plays basketball and has both a dog and a bearded dragon. His favorite season is summer and he enjoys the weekends. He enjoys playing the online game Brawl Stars and it is one of his main hobbies.
Dane Ward
Freshman Dane plays soccer and his favorite class is ELA. He enjoys the summer and has two cats and two dogs.
Keaton Ochocki
Freshman Keaton plays golf and enjoys the Winter. His favorite class is Digital Media and he also has a dog.

Junior Caleb enjoys building Miniatures, reading, and playing board games. He is a pole vaulter and his favorite season is winter and his favorite class is AP Bio.

Senior Ana enjoys anatomy class and her favorite season is fall. She has two dogs and one cat, and plays in the marching band, skateboards, listens to music, and paints.
