Dungeons and Demons also known as D&D is a tabletop game that mirrors Dungeons and Dragons. It’s played using your imagination and a phone or electronic device that can run an app called D&D Beyond or a character sheet that lets you keep track of your character while playing. A person who makes the game using imagery and characterization is called the GM (Game Master) or the DM (Dungeon Master).
D&D is an immersive game that can be played with your friends and family. D&D is played by the GM taking you into the map by explaining the map and your surroundings although there is virtually no way to “win” the campaigns do/can end. The players play by using D&D Beyond to know their stats and what they can roll for damage (DMG) and roll for if they can hit a said enemy.
DHS students Kai Harris and Xander Singer had positive things to say about the game and Singer said, “D&D is an entertaining game if you make it fun because you as the player and the GM both can make the game fun, but can also make the game boring.”
When asked “What is D&D to you? ” Harris said, “D&D is not just a… game, it’s like a second life because I get to choose what I do with little to no consequences, and I can do anything I want to. It’s entertaining, and with friends, almost everything is more fun, especially D&D because you can joke around without getting in trouble.”
