The start of school is a busy time for students and teachers both, and the ESS (exceptional student services) department is no exception. New this year to the department is transitional teacher Cara Kropp, who is working with students to develop life and working skills. The students in the program have plenty to look forward to, for example participating in Unified teams and adaptive sports. Some of which have even started for this year, “we have already been actively participating in adaptive golf at Hillcrest Golf Club. Students are paired up with professional golfers and work on putting, chipping and driving. It has been a fun and great opportunity for students,” said ESS teacher Matthew Clark. Amid the bustle of the new school year, the ESS department is excited to see what is in store for them.
