Success in Swim

If effort was a contest, the swim team would be winning. The Durango girls swim team has had morning practices up at Fort Lewis college since early November and their hard work and dedication has paid off. An example of their accomplishments occured at the Mavalanche invitational in Grand Junction, Colorado where the team with combined efforts came out in fourth place out of many competitive teams from around the state. At this mete the girls had a freestyle relay team consisting of four girls, that took second in the 400 yard competition, their time of 3:52.59 was just two-seconds short of the winning team from Aspen. This second place result helped boost the teams score overall. With many more metes in future like Senior Sectionals and one in Phoenix, this team is offering some very hopeful and successful results.
