Trump Vs. Clinton

Over the course of the 2016 presidential elections, this year’s candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, have turned the presidential race into a roast session filled with irrelevant puns and not-so-fine medium roast. On Wednesday, October 19th, the third and final debate occurred containing an abundance of these “humorous” statements.

“We have some bad hombres and we’re going to get them out,” said Donald Trump at one point when outlining his immigration plan.

Trump is widely  known for his many attacks towards the Hispanic population in America but still pulls in a number of Hispanic votes. Maybe calling these people “bad hombres,” with a hard H, isn’t the best approach to keeping these few voters.

“Well, that’s because he [Putin] would rather have a puppet as president of the United States,” said Hillary Clinton after Putin’s support of Trump was reiterated.

“No puppet. You’re a puppet,” Donald Trump replied, making up for with conviction what he lacked in originality .

Seeing the two candidates running for president play the name calling game, arguing about who’s the puppet, is making a lot of people feel uneasy about the future of the U.S. It doesn’t help to see the future president, the person in charge of the country, argue like a toddler on national television.

“Nobody has more respect for women than I do. Nobody,” Donald Trump said.

This is the same man who, just weeks ago, had a recording of him released saying very vulgar things about forcibly harassing women. Since then, ten women have come out about Mr. Trump harassing or sexually assaulting them. He has been heard many times making incredibly insulting  statements about women such as rating their looks or pointing out their weight. Perhaps he does not have as much respect for women as he claims.

“I think it’s terrible if you go with what Hillary is saying. In the ninth month, you can take the baby and rip the baby out of the womb of the mother just prior to the birth of the baby…on the final day,” said Trump.

No trained medical practitioner is going to “rip” a fully developed  baby from the womb when it is on the verge of being born if there isn’t a serious medical problem. Really, these types of late term abortions are done because the mother is at risk of her, herself, being seriously hurt or something terribly wrong is going on, but way to use the scare tactic, Trump, close but not quite.
